You can speak with someone confidentially before deciding whether to make a report.

What is a Confidential Resource?

Confidential resources are individuals or services that will not share your information with Responsible Employee(s) within the District under California law without your consent, except in limited circumstances required by law.

Speaking with a confidential resource allows you to:

  • Share your experience in a safe, private setting
  • Receive emotional support and guidance
  • Learn about your options without triggering a formal report

Limits of Confidentiality

Confidential Resources may be required to disclose information in specific situations, including:

  • If there is an immediate or serious threat to your safety or the safety of others
  • When required by law (e.g., certain injuries or abuse reporting obligations)
  • In response to a court order or subpoena
