Message from the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources

Welcome to the Human Resources Department at Rancho Santiago Community College District.

At RSCCD, we recognize that our employees are the foundation of our District and essential to advancing student success, strengthening our colleges and centers, and serving our diverse communities. Human Resources is committed to fostering a workplace culture that values collaboration, inclusion, innovation, and excellence while providing responsive, people-centered support to our employees and departments across the District.

Our department proudly supports employees throughout every stage of their professional journey through Recruitment and Employment Services, Employee and Labor Relations, Classification and Compensation, Benefits, Leaves, Risk Management, Equal Employment Opportunity, Professional Development, Human Resources Operations, and our Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Together, these areas work collaboratively to support employee success, organizational effectiveness, and the mission of the District.

Human Resources is guided by four foundational pillars: Service, Efficiency, Innovation, and Community. These pillars shape the way we engage with employees, develop solutions, and continuously improve our practices to meet the evolving needs of our District community.

  • Service reflects our commitment to providing responsive, supportive, and employee-centered care.
  • Efficiency drives our efforts to strengthen systems, streamline processes, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Innovation encourages forward-thinking practices that support continuous improvement and organizational growth.
  • Community reflects our dedication to fostering collaboration, belonging, and meaningful relationships across the District.

Through these guiding principles, we strive to create systems and experiences that are welcoming, equitable, transparent, and supportive for all employees. We are committed to cultivating a workplace where employees feel valued, respected, connected, and empowered to thrive both professionally and personally.

Thank you for visiting our Human Resources webpage. We invite you to explore our services, resources, and opportunities, and we look forward to continuing to support you and our District community.
